“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. Until I arrive, give attention to the public reading of scripture, to exhorting, to teaching.” (1 Timothy 4:12-13, NRSV)“And don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching.” (1 Timothy 4:12-13, The Message)

Girls in Relationship, Leadership, and Service—that’s what the G.I.R.L.S. Leadership Academy is all about! Grow in faith as you grow in the understanding of yourself as called by God to leadership.

This unique, first-of-its-kind event offers plenty of time for you to build friendships and learn from other girls and young women during G.I.R.L.S. Leadership Academy events, while it also includes intersections with Women’s Day sponsored by American Baptist Women’s Ministries, and the ABCUSA Biennial Mission Summit. Be an active part of a wonderful family-of-faith, and let your voice be heard in table conversations that will impact American Baptist life for years to come!
